Kirk P. Wilkinson, MS, CFI-II, CFPE, brings over 25 years of diverse experience in the fire service, excelling in roles ranging from firefighter and engine operator to fire marshal and chief officer. He is a trusted expert in fire suppression, operational supervision, emergency communications, department administration, and fire safety planning. Kirk’s specialties also include fire inspections, site plan review, public and media relations, capital purchasing, grant writing, incident action reviews, and developing promotional exams and interview processes.
Kirk’s impressive credentials include certifications as a State of Michigan Fire Officer III, Fire Service Instructor II, and Registered Code Official in Fire Protection Systems. He is also a State of Michigan Licensed EMT-B and holds advanced credentials as an NFPA Fire Inspector II and Fire Plans Examiner.
Educationally, Kirk has achieved an Associate Degree in Applied Fire Science and Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Fire Administration and Emergency Services Management, all from Columbia Southern University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also earned a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and Executive Fire Rescue from Waldorf University.
